D-Day 6th June 1944 Flag | Premium Quality

D-Day has been used for many military operations, but is now recognised as the Allied invasion of Normandy. The D-Day landings in 1944, during World War Two (WW2), were the biggest invasion by sea in history happening on 6th June 1944 after five years of war with Germany. Overlord was the code name for the whole operation as a massive military force set out from the UK towards France. On the morning of D-Day, ground troops landed across five assault beaches – Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword and by the end of the day, the Allies had established themselves on the shore so beginning the advance into France. By flying or displaying this flag we can all remember the event and the 4,414 Allied personnel killed on that day. 

The flag, available in all sizes, is a premium quality 115g polyester (210g "heavy duty" on Multi eyelets) flag with a beach image and D-DAY Normandy with the important date 6th June 1944 printed on one side with a mirror image showing on the reverse side.
