The Angolan flag is a red and black split horizontal background with an upper red half and a lower black half plus an emblem in the the centre, featuring one half of a yellow gear wheel crossed by a machete which is crowned with a star. It came into use at when Angola gained independence in 1975. 

This is a budget price imported, 100% polyester flag, screen-printed on one side with a mirror image showing on the reverse side. It has a white headband on one side incorporating two eyelets and is ideal for interior and light exterior use.
